Wagga Wagga

With a population of over 63,000, Wagga Wagga is perfectly positioned on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River, about half-way between Australia’s two largest cities Sydney and Melbourne. Its population is growing at a rate faster than the state average, and is projected to be close to 68,000 by the year 2026. Wagga Wagga’s size and location position it as a significant hub for industry, including defence, with both the Army Recruit Training Centre (Kapooka) and RAAF Base Wagga. It is also an important centre for health, social and retail services for surrounding towns.
