NO1 Expeditionary Health Squadron Detachment Wagga

1 Expeditionary Health Squadron Detachment Wagga (1EHS DET WAG) is the military expeditionary health squadron at RAAF Base Wagga with its headquarters located at 1EHS RAAF Amberley. The OIC of the Detachment is FLTLT Emma Flack (NURSO). It falls under Health Services Wing and the Commanding Officer is WGCDR Nicole Dos Santos.

The principal roles of 1EHS Detachment Wagga are to:

  • prepare for, plan and conduct expeditionary health operations as directed by HQHSW
  • provide National Support Area (NSA) health support to RAAF Wagga entitled personnel IAW Joint Health Command (JHC) Directives.

The unit’s mission is to provide professional, comprehensive health services in support of RAAF and wider ADF operations on RAAF Base Wagga and in deployed areas of operation as tasked. 1EHS personnel provide expert, responsive health support in support of ADF objectives. They consistently meet that commitment through cooperation at all levels, by maintaining and enhancing operational skills, plans and equipment and by continuing to exploit their flexible, innovative approaches, as well as their fundamental professional conduct. A key asset for combat support, 1EHS personnel meet any and every challenge and work exceptionally well anywhere and anytime.
